ADT4Blue Consortium Meeting in Zarautz

The third in-person meeting of the ADT4Blue project consortium took place on September 17, 18, and 19 in the beautiful city of Zarautz, Spain, hosted by Urola Kostako, member of ADT4Blue consortium.

The working meetings were focused on finalizing the last details of the first Open Call, which will be launched on October 18th. The three Open Calls of the ADT4Blue project aim to empower entrepreneurial initiatives based on advanced digital technologies (such as Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things) to address the most pressing challenges faced by the Blue Economy.

In this regard, the creation of multidisciplinary teams will be promoted. These teams will receive advanced training in both entrepreneurship and digital technologies and will benefit from a personalized mentoring program. In a later phase, various actions will be undertaken to boost the business ideas of the teams, including participation in networking events and specific support and funding programs.

The following Open Calls will be launched throughout 2025. All information about the first Open Call will be available in the following days.

During the meeting, we also had the chance of discovering Blue Economy projects of the Urola Kosta, such as the Open Water Swimming Center planned in Getaria, and to visit the Flysh – Geoparkéa leaving from Zumaia.
