ADT4Blue at the Atlantic Week in Bordeaux

From November 19 to 22, Bordeaux hosted the Atlantic Week, a dynamic series of events and workshops dedicated to the future of our Atlantic Ocean. Under the theme “Towards a Sustainable and Cooperative Blue Future,” this gathering will bring together experts, policymakers, researchers, and ocean enthusiasts to explore innovative solutions and collaborative efforts for preserving our vital marine environments.

Within the Atlantic Week in Bordeaux, ADT4Blue attended November 21st the INTERREG Atlantic Area annual event the with a stand, and the project has been presented the same day by Olha Nahorna (engineer in Artificial Intelligence at CNRS) at the “Blue Synergies”, a joint event co-organised in close liaison with the Atlantic Stakeholders Platform Conference highlighting the strong cooperation between the Interreg Atlantic Area and the Atlantic Stakeholders Platform to support the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan 2.0.

The INTERREG Atlantic Area Annual Event has been the occasion for creating and reinforcing bridges and connection for a more sustainable and innovative Blue Economy.

As Olha Nahorna said during the panel “Bringing results together for a larger impact in the Atlantic and beyond“, it’s all about bridges:

“One bridge spans a river, but many bridges generate synergies. While the river is a natural phenomenon, the bridges are a collective effort. In the ADT4Blue project, our objective is to construct some of these bridges and connect them with the existing spots already in place.”

“Collaborative efforts are a necessity to create and test solutions, as well as their further implementation and improvement. it is essential to provide participants with information about other projects working in similar or connected spheres, funding opportunities, technological resources, and other forms of material support (e.g., office space, testing environments, administrative assistance, and more), and help them to communicate effectively and widely about the solution. Essential to this process is creating opportunities for motivated teams to achieve their objectives, guiding them through mentoring and community support, as well as providing funding opportunities. This maximizes the chances of successful implementation. Additionally, it is valuable to illustrate the contributions of all participants involved in the process, such as the development of training courses, fostering collaborations between start-up hubs and accelerators, producing scientific publications and others. Al this is the core of ADT4Blue project.”
